Urban Pilgrim Creators is a production company based in Austria where creative minds from Europe and Asia come together to collaborate on projects of common interest. The company provides a platform for national and international projects and collaborations. Urban Pilgrim Creators aim is to create compelling films with stories that need telling, visually stunning images and a unique approach.
Anna Abbasi
CEO, Producer
Anna Maria Abbasi is the founder of Urban Pilgrim Creators.
She has worked as director, editor, graphic and motion designer, camerawoman, assistant and production manager for production houses in Germany and Austria as well as for ORF the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation.
Recent projects she has contributed to are the TV documentaries “Riot in the Matrix” by Hansjürgen Schmölzer produced by BSX and ORF, and “Freeports” by Martin Gronemeyer, produced by sagamedia & BSX and co-produced by ZDF & ORF.
Anna has a diploma in Audio Visual Media-Design Film/Video and a in International Development, hence her interest in looking beyond the limitation of borders, languages and constructed behavioral patterns.
With URBAN PILGRIM CREATORS she is currently developing two feature length documentaries as Producer.

Aftab Abbasi
Director
After his graduation in TV and film production, Aftab worked for several top news channels and documentary production houses, gaining a decade of experience as a director/producer and DP.
He directed Pakistan’s nation-wide travelogue series “Dil Say Pakistan” (PTV) and documentaries such as “The Story of A Banyan Tree – 9000 years of Spiritual Heritage of Pakistan” (DFID) and “Bonded Labour” (EDACE).
His short documentaries “Twinkle – Power to Change” and “Manchar – Last of the Lake People” won awards at festivals in Belgium, China and Poland and were seen in many more.
In his career Aftab has covered stories ranging from super achievers, nature & environment, women’s empowerment, governance, law & legislature, history & religion to science, education and sports.
He approaches his work with a balanced understanding off technical knowhow and hands-on skill, coupled with a clear sense of style and treatment. His experience in experimenting with the form and style of storytelling helps him to mold narratives for a maximum impact.

Kamran Fazal
Editor | Color Correction | Freelancer
Kamran Fazal is an Editor from Pakistan living in Singapore. He worked together with Aftab Abbasi on numberous Projects at Black Box Sounds Islamabad for a wide variety of international clients before starting off as Freelancer. Recent Projects he worked for are Knitted Beliefs by Salman Alam Khan and the documentary series Allegory - A Tapestry of Guru Nanak's Travels.

Together with Anna Mikl, Gabriele Mikl created Palais Media. Mastering Production Management with an ability that searches its eaqual.
Since 2019 Palais Media and Urban Pilgrim Creators develop conted as a team. Gabriele introduced the musicians and music specialists Klaus Meyer and Wolfgang Vrecar as well as the pilot and drone operator Oliver Meyer to the team.
